In June 2018, Aishah Shahidah Simmons was interviewed by her sister-survivor friend and comrade Wagatwe Wanjuki, and Jenna Foster for a new Wondery podcast called, “I, Survivor.” Produced by Abbie Fentress Swanson and co-hosted by Wagatwe and Jenna, “I, Survivor” focuses on the state of survivors.

The "All in the Family" episode of “I, Survivor” aired on August 28, 2018. It featured interviews with two women of color — Aishah Shahidah Simmons and Amanda Rosenberg — who created art and cultural work from their trauma. Part one of the podcast features an interview with Aishah talking about her incest and adult rape experiences, and subsequent survivorship, which led to her creating NO! The Rape Documentary and #LoveWITHAccountability. Part two features an interview with noted author and mental health advocate Amanda Rosenberg who survived a suicide attempt, struggled with mental illness and tried to hide it from her family.
