Through writing and lecturing about “Digging Up the Roots of Sexual Violence, ” Aishah shared experiences and insights that she had not publicly shared prior to her presentation at Boston College. There were a few times when her breath was the only anchor that kept her grounded during her presentation where she delved deep about so many complexities and contradictions that allow child sexual abuse, adult rape and other forms of sexual violence to permeate every single aspect of society and by extension our lives.

She extends her deep love and gratitude Sister Dr. Regine Jean-Charles who with her colleagues (some of whom are also ‘old skool’  friends), Dr. Shawn McGuffey, Dr. Rhonda Frederick, Dr. Angela Aards, Dr. Jonathan Howard, and Richard Paul, for co-creating a very warm and welcoming space.
